Im Fagaras-Gebirge haben wir einfach mal die Enduro-Motorradfahrer angequatscht, die standen grad so am Weg herum… vielleicht haben die ja ein paar Tips und Tracks? Wir folgen ihrer Campempfehlung und sitzen kurze Zeit später gemeinsam am Lagerfeuer und erzählen einander.

Jetzt, eine gute Woche später stehen wir bei einem der beiden, Tzuri, zu Hause in der Nähe von Tulcea am Donau Delta. Eigentlich wollten wir auf einem Berg hinter seinem Heimatort campen und ihn am nächsten Tag besuchen. Doch nachts um elf kommt ein Auto den Berg hoch… langsam, direkt auf uns zu. „Das kann nur Tzuri sein“ – Wir freuen uns!
Tzuris Frau Magda hat unsere Defender im Dorf gesehen und laut unserer GPS Position konnten wir nicht weit von ihm weg sein. Auf dem Berg sollen wir nicht übernachten, er hat doch ein Haus! Schnell ist alles gepackt und wir fahren das erste mal im Dunkeln offroad – Tzuri in seinem Dacia voraus 😉

Wir verbringen einige entspannte Tage bei den beiden, lernen einige Freunde kennen und werden fürstlich bekocht! Zum Abschied gibt es natürlich ein rumänisches BBQ vom feinsten.

Driving trough Fagaras Mountains we meet some guys with their  endurobikes. We stopped.. they might  have a few tips and tracks? We follow their recommendation for a camp and  a short time later we sit around the campfire and tell each other stories.

Now, a week later we are at Tzuris, on of the bikers, home (near Tulca the Danube Delta). We had planned to camp on a hill behind his home and visit him the next day. But at eleven at night a car crawls up the hill … slowly, straight towards us. „That must be Tzuri“ – We are happy to see him!
Tzuris wife Magda had seen our Defender in the village and, according to our GPS position, we couldn`t be far away from his house. We are not allowed not stay on the hill, he has a house! We pack everything quickly and head for the first time offroad in the dark – Tzuri in the lead with his Dacia 😉

We spend a few relaxing days, get to know new friends and eat royally! There is of course a Romanian goodbye-BBQ at its finest!
